Farnborough International Airshow Radio (FIFM) will be live and on-air from 12 to 25 July 2010 on 87.7FM.
Programming will be specifically focused around the Airshow and the exciting daily breaking news that an event the size of FIA generates. Substantiated by industry contribution, the daily broadcasts will include latest show up-dates, interviews and the all important traffic reports as well as popular music. The daily flying display commentary will also be streamed, live from the show. The radio broadcasts 24 hours a day and has a 15 mile reach from Farnborough Aerodrome.
FIFM radio is run and managed by the Farnborough College of Technology. The project forms part of the student curriculum and provides valuable work experience that assists in their professional development.
The FIFM studio is located in the Media Centre in Hall 1A and will be staffed from Monday 12 July through the end of the show, so come along to file your news items or make arrangements for interviews.
